All Bulbs Bright and Beautiful!
If you are planting bulbs in Autumn/Winter, you can expect them to be spring flowering bulbs. These will be your daffodils, Tulips, Crocuses and more. These varieties are planted this time of year to ensure they have established a good root system before the weather gets cold.
Bulbs can produce the most wonderful flowers whilst being relatively easy to grow. For anyone who hasn’t planted bulbs before it is simply done in a few steps, and we can tell you how.
Be sure to store any unplanted bulbs in a cool, dark place; preferably moisture free and they should keep for a little while.
You must remember when planting bulbs to space them out correctly. This is easy to do if you just remember to plant bulbs twice the depth of their height and four times their width apart.
Once in the ground you can give them a good watering. After that you may only water them when the soil is dry. You can then leave your bulbs in the ground. Just cut them back when they are past their best and they should come back year on year.
Once all the work is done look forward to a beautiful show in spring!
