The sophisticated HabiStat Dimming Thermostat is designed specifically for controlling light bulbs.
The Dimming Thermostat is one of the most accurate methods of temperature control and whilst it is perfect for controlling light bulbs, it can be used on almost any heaters.
Unlike other HabiStat Thermostats, it does require a minimum load of 40 watts, but has a maximum capacity of 600 watts at 230 volts.
We only recommend this thermostat for use with incandescent light bulbs. It uses the latest technology and operates in a manner similar to the Pulse Proportional Thermostat.
Instead of pulses of power being supplied to the heater, it is supplied with a continuous variable supply of power or voltage. In principle this has a similar effect to light dimmers or rheostats in your home.
Suitable for most heaters
Separate setting of daytime and night-time temperatures
Continual readout of current temperature and time
Power meter continually indicates percentage of power to the heater
Two separately timed circuits to control heaters, lighting, fans or spray systems
Thermostat User Guide available
Comes with a 12-month guarantee.
HabiStat Digital Dimming Thermostat Day/Night Timer, 600 Watt is suitable for most heaters and will provide a continual temperature rather than a hot/cold cycle.
Separate setting of daytime temperature and night time temperature. Continual readout of current temperature and time.
Revolutionary Power Meter continually indicates % of power at the heater. Coloured Icon flashes to indicate function presently in use.
Separate timed circuit to turn separate heaters, lighting fans or spray systems on twice and off twice in a 24 hour period.
Waterproof, 3 metre long, low voltage sensor.
Adjustable alarm function to give visual and audible warning when temperature goes above or below set temperature parameters. Alarm can be disabled if not required.
Both upper and lower temperature limits can be set.
Comes with preset parameters, so can just be plugged in and used if required. Will not loose memory settings if power is disconnected.
Reptiles are ectothermic and use heat from an external source to thermoregulate their optimal body temperature. Most reptiles use direct radiant heat from the sun in combination with conductive heat from sun-heated surfaces such as branches, rocks or other heat accumulating structures.
Providing such an appropriate, species related, temperature gradient in the terrarium is an important factor in successful reptile keeping. With the Exo Terra 100 W Electronic ON/OFF Thermostat you can create a well controlled heating system that allows you to maintain the required temperature conditions similar to those found in a desert or tropical environment. The Thermostat will also help to prevent overheating and under-cooling during hot summer days or cold winter nights.
The electronic Triac switch keeps the temperature at the desired set point with a much higher accuracy compared to conventional thermostats and virtually eliminates temperature swings in the terrarium.
Simply connect your Heat Mat, Heat Cable or Ceramic Heater to the Exo Terra ON/OFF Thermostat, set the preferred temperature and place the heat sensor in the desired spot. The Red LED heat indicator will light up when the heating device is ON and will shut off once the desired temperature has been reached.
The recessed dial of the thermostat will prevent accidental temperature change if the device is being handled. The waterproof remote sensor can be safely used in highly moist terrariums and aquatic environments.
The Exo Terra Thermostat should be set according to the needs of the animals. Thoroughly research the preferred optimum temperature range (POTR) for your specific reptile, so you can create the correct temperature gradients inside the terrarium to allow your reptiles to thermoregulate.

This low voltage mini fan system has temperature controlled fans; depending on the temperature the fan speed will decrease or increase to allow for optimal conditions inside the terrarium. The base set consists of a transformer and two fans in order that one fan can be used to blow fresh air into the terrarium while the other pulls out the old air. This way an optimal circulation is ensured. The fans are excellent for animals that need high air circulation like chameleons. One transformer can be used with up to 4 fans
New Model Now Available! The Thermo Control PRO II has been upgraded and now sports a host of great new features making it one of the best value digital thermostats on the market. There are now 4 separate time zones so that different temperature regimes can be set for day, night, dawn and dusk. Temperatures can now be set to 0.1°C and a total of 8 on/off periods can be programmed throughout each day. It has both sounder and display alarms and these can be turned off independently if not required. The thermostat can be reversed so that it can be used to switch on coolling devices and a new daily max/min fucntion has been added. The maximum load is 1000W and the temperature range is 0°-50°C.
Modern Digital Thermometer & Hygrometer to measure the temperature and humidity in your terrarium. Features attaching clip and suction cup and comes complete with batteries. Temp range -5C - +50C. Humidity 20%Rh 90%. Rh Temp Accuracy +/- 2C.
Precision is paramount when using any thermostatically controlled heat source, and our On/Off Thermostats are guaranteed to maintain the required temperature to within 1 degree celsius from around the probe. Using a Komodo Thermostat will give every user peace of mind that their reptile is in a comfortable and controlled environment.
How they work: On/off stats are the least expensive and the most basic thermostat in the Komodo range and they regulate the temperature by switching the heater on and off. If the senor reads a temperature that is too warm, it switches the heater off. Too cold, it switches the heater on.
Ideal for: We recommend the use of the 100W Thermostat with our Advanced Heat Mats, whilst the 300W Thermostat can be used with any of our incandescent Spotlight Bulbs and Ceramic Heat Lamps.
