Bedmax Large Flake Pine Shavings

Bedmax shavings are large flake pine shavings, purpose made to provide an ideal bedding for horses and ponies.

They are made at three dedicated Bedmax production plants in the UK, from fresh timber sourced from renewable UK forestry. Bedmax shavings were developed to offer owners a natural bedding that would help address the issues that threaten the health and welfare of horses in stables.

Bedmax shavings are made to a unique formula to offer you a combination of benefits that help you combat the big risks that threaten your horse’s health and wellbeing in the stable.

Dust - Bedding is potentially the biggest source of dust in the stable, and dust can impair or seriously damage your horse’s respiratory system. Bedmax has one of the lowest levels of dust and spores on the market.
Hoofcare - Your horse’s hooves need firm, resilient support. Our larger flakes provide it. We also dry Bedmax to a controlled moisture content to prevent hooves from drying out and cracking.
Hygiene - Maintaining hygiene effectively is crucial and difficult. We make Bedmax shavings from fresh pine because pine offers unique antibacterial action against harmful bacteria and fungi. We also dry our shavings at sterilising temperatures during pro
Joints - Bedmax shavings help create a clean, supportive bed that encourages horses to lie down and rest, and cushions hocks and other joints from damage.
Ammonia - Poor bedding and bedding management exposes horses to greater contact with ammonia, which can damage the respiratory system and attack the structure of the hoof.
Rest - Horses in stables need to be able to lie down to achieve deep REM sleep. A comfortable, clean, natural bed enables horses to lie down and rest properly and safely.

Delivery to UK, Isle of Man & Channel Islands.

We offer standard delivery to mainland UK, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey and the delivery charge will be displayed to you when processing your order and payment.

RETURNS

Your satisfaction is important to us as we always aim to provide the best products and service to all our customers.

If however you are not completely satisfied with any item you have purchased from us, please contact us on 01639 642180 within 14 days, state if you are requesting an exchange or refund, and we’ll instruct you on how to return your item to us, which must be unused, in a saleable condition and in its original packaging. When returning items, please make sure you insure them. We cannot offer refunds on items that are returned to us in an unsaleable condition.

Any item purchased online can also be returned, in person, to our store, but please contact us on 01639 642180 prior to travelling.

Once the item has been received back by us and inspected we will quickly give you a full refund (less the original delivery charge) or exchange the item for you.
