Description

Chervil Curled produces fern-like leaves giving a delicate ainseed like taste in mild flavoured dishes. This makes for an ideal alternative to parsley as they are very similar. Chervil prefers a shady position and grows to a height of 30cm (12").

When to Sow Chervil Curled Seeds
All year round.

Where to Sow
Sow seed direct outside in March to July into shallow seed drills. Alternatively make sowings at two to three week intervals indoors on a light windowsill all year round. Sow seeds thinly 0.5cm (¼in) deep, in small pots of moist compost at a temperature of 15-20°C.

What to do next
Direct sown seedlings can be thinned to 30cm (12in) apart and harvested from May as required . Indoor crops can be harvested all year round. Pick a few leaves, as required, from each plant so that they regrow quickly. Keep well watered during hot weather.

Harvest
All year round.
