Description

An exquisitely flavoured golden-orange cherry tomato weighing on average 15grams, all of which are elegantly arranged on long trusses. The exceptional flavour is a result of a high level of sweetness combined with other aromatics that provides a delightful aftertaste, somewhat like honey. Shows a good resistance to splitting unlike similar looking varieties, like sungold. Honeycomb tomatoes are heavy cropping plants, with up to 150-200 fruits on each!

When to Sow Honeycomb Tomato Seeds
January to April

When to Plant
April to June

Harvest
July to October

Where to Sow
Sow seeds under glass 0.5cm (1/4 in) deep in pots or trays of good seed sowing compost and lightly cover with a sprinkling of vermiculite or compost. Place containers in a propagator at a temperature of 18-21C.

What to do next
Prick out seedlings, once large enough to handle, into 9cm (3 1/2in) pots. Transplant to the greenhouse border soil, or individual large pots, or 3 plants per growbag when 20cm (8in) high. Can also be planted outdoors once all risk of frost has passed. Plants will require side shooting and given support for the best yields. Water and feed plants regularly with a high potash feed once the first truss has set.

Handy Tip
Pick fruits as they ripen and water regularly, but do not overwater to help prevent these small fruits from splitting.
