Where to Sow
Sow tomato seeds in pots or trays of a good seed sowing compost at 0.5cm deep. Cover lightly with compost or vermicultire and keep underglass. Place containers in a propagator at a temperature of 18-21°C.

What to do Next
When the seedlings are latge enough to handle, prick out into 9cm (3 1/2in) pots. Transplant to the greenhouse border soil, or into individual large pots, or in a growbag when 20cm (8in) high with 3 plants in each. Tomato plants can also planted outdoors once all risk of frost has passed. Plants require sideshooting and support for the best yields.
