Description
Sweet corn Minipop is specially bred to produce baby sweet corn which is very popular in stir-fry and salad dishes because of how small it is.
Sweet Corn is a tender vegetable that needs a good summer to produce at its best. Given a sheltered spot and using early varieties, this delicious vegetable is now quite at home in northern counties.
When to Sow Sweetcorn Mini Pop F1 Seeds
April and May.
Where to Sow
Early sowings can be made into pots or modules under glass at 21°C. Later sowings can be made direct into growing site, sowing 2 seeds per sowing station. Do not sow as a single row , sow in blocks spacing as detailed below.
What to do Next
Pot raised seedlings should be gradually hardened off in a cold frame before transplanting into the plot once all risk of frost has passed. Do not plant in rows, but plant in blocks , For baby corns space plants 15cm (6") apart and 30cm (12in) between the rows to aid pollination by wind.

Late August to September.
Handy Tip
Cobs are ready to harvest when the end tassels turn brown. Delicious eaten straight from the plant or cooked with a little melted butter.
