Description
Smooth, shiny conical shaped fruits mature from dark green to an intense red colour. A heavy crop of fruits are 18 to 20 cm long and 5 to 6cm in diameter, with an average weight of about 150g. Early maturing.
An ideal replacement for Thor.
When to Sow Marmara F1 Sweet Pepper Seeds
Sow February to April. Plant out May to June.
Harvest
Late July to October.
Where to Sow
Sow seed on the surface of a free draining compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite and place at a temperature 18-21°C until seeds germinate.
What to do Next
Prick out seedings when large enough to handle into 7cm (3in) pots and grow on under glass. Once plants reach 10cm (4in) high transplant into growbags or 25cm (10in) pots and grow on under glass. Feed once a week with tomato fertiliser once first fruits have set.
Handy Tip
To help support the weight of the crop it is best to tie plants to some canes as they grow.
