Description

Dwarf French Bean seeds "Faraday" is one of the best, if not the best new Dwarf French Bean to become available for some time. It produces excellent uniform pencil pods which are 6-8mm in diameter and 13-15cm (5-6") long. the pods are straight, neat and good in colour. It is one of the most dwarfest of all varieties. Faraday is a must for any keen bean grower.

This family of beans is frost tender and cannot be sown until the weather has warmed up.

When to Sow Faraday Bean Seeds
April to June.

Where to Sow
Early sowings can be made underglass at a temperature of 16°C, sow into 8cm (3in) pots or modular trays filled with seed sowing compost. Outside sowings can be made from May onwards into the growing site 5cm (2in) deep. Sow 2-3 seeds every 20cm(8in) apart with rows spaced 45cm (18in) apart.

What to do next
Seedlings sown underglass should be gradually hardened off before planting outside in late May to the above spacing, once all risk of frost has past. Direct sown seedlings can be thinned out as required. Water regularly during dry weather.

Harvest
July to September.
