Description
Carrot seeds "Paris Market" with almost spherical roots not only has good colour and flavour but is also ideal for production in shallow or stony soils. Also great for growing in window boxes or patio containers. They are a delicious carrot, especially when eaten young (when roots are 4-5cm).
When to Sow Paris Market Carrot Seeds
April to July.
Where to Sow
Sow thinly in drills 1.5cm (3/4") deep with 20cm (9") between rows. Cover with fine soil and keep moist. Can also be sown February to March in a greenhouse or under cloches.
What to do Next
Carrot fly is attracted by thinning, so try to avoid. If necessary, thin in the evenings and remove all trace of debris from the growing site.
Maturity
June to November.
Handy Tip
Sow under cloches or cold frame for early crop. Use roots when young for best flavour. Perfect for growing in shallow tubs or troughs.
