Habistat Catappa Leaves
Description
Catappa Leaves are a natural, functional, and aesthetic enhancement for any reptile, amphibian, or invertebrate habitat. These dried leaves closely mimic the leaf fall found in tropical forests, making them an ideal component for bioactive enclosures and naturalistic terrarium setups.
Used alone or layered on top of the HabiStat Leaf Litter range, Catappa Leaves provide vital enrichment by encouraging natural behaviors and promoting environmental diversity. They break down slowly over time, serving as both shelter and a food source for invertebrates and clean-up crews, which in turn enrich the soil with nutrients essential for healthy plant growth.
Additionally, Catappa leaves help create and maintain microclimates by regulating humidity and airflow at the substrate level—key to replicating specific biomes like tropical or temperate forests.
